San Antonio Table Tennis Club will be hosting a special Tuesday night event at 6 PM on May 12, 2026 to celebrate Henry Blankenship before he moves back to Las Vegas at the end of May. This will be a fun and meaningful evening for club members and friends to come together for food, table tennis, and fellowship as we recognize someone who has meant a great deal to SATTC.

Instead of our normal Tuesday group training, we will be holding a BBQ and a for-fun U 3000 Doubles tournament starting at 6 PM. Players are welcome to come out for the doubles event, the BBQ, or simply to be part of the evening and help us send Henry off with a great night at the club.

Henry is also the person who helped create and build the club’s successful Senior League every Wednesday, which will continue even after he leaves. During his time in San Antonio, Henry has given so much of his time and energy to SATTC, always stepping up wherever help was needed and quietly doing the kind of work that keeps a club strong. From helping run sanctioned tournaments, Saturday League, and the monthly Ping Pong Tournament to cleaning, volunteering, and filling gaps whenever they came up, Henry has made a lasting impact on our club. He also did outreach at military bases around San Antonio to help spread the game of table tennis, and he was always ready to get on the table and play with any member, new or experienced, no matter their background or skill level. Along with Jackie, who has also given so much to help and support SATTC, Henry will be greatly missed. This event is a chance for all of us to come together, enjoy some food and table tennis, and show our appreciation for Henry and Jackie before they begin this next chapter.
