Sunday - April 19, 2026

Day 3 of the 2026 Texas State Championships wrapped up the weekend with five events, closing out an excellent three days of table tennis at the San Antonio Table Tennis Club. The junior events stole the show on Sunday, with strong performances across the board in the U 13 Boys and Girls Singles divisions.

The round robin events delivered competitive matches throughout the day, with San Antonio Table Tennis Club's Leo Jang earning a 2nd place finish in the U 1300 RR and Hudson Sanders claiming 3rd in the U 1500 RR. In the Over 30 Men's Singles, SATTC's Albert Felan earned a strong 2nd place finish behind champion Jeff Nguyen.

The 2026 Texas State Championships was a tremendous success, bringing together over 130 players from clubs across Texas for three days of exciting competition. Congratulations to all of this weekend's winners, and thank you to everyone who competed, volunteered, and came out to support!

Saturday - April 18, 2026

Day 2 of the 2026 Texas State Championships delivered a full and action-packed schedule at the San Antonio Table Tennis Club, with eleven events running throughout the day across all skill levels. The competition was strong from start to finish, with players representing clubs from across Texas including Houston International Table Tennis (HITTA), 5C Table Tennis, San Antonio Table Tennis Club, and many others.

In the marquee Open Men's Singles, Andrew Cao of 5C Table Tennis claimed the title, with Jimmy Butler of Houston International Table Tennis earning silver. The Open Women's Singles saw Anya Shanbhag of HITTA take gold, followed by fellow HITTA member Lia Morales in 2nd place. The junior events were equally competitive, with Allen Mao of HITTA winning the U 15 Boys Singles and Anya Shanbhag taking the U 15 Girls Singles title as well. The round robin events rounded out an outstanding day of competition across all skill levels.

The doubles events brought some of the most exciting team play of the weekend. In the Under 4000 Doubles, the young pairing of Kanishk Nambiar and Aarudhran Aswin Kumar claimed the top spot, with Aldin Soneja and Ryan Martin of San Antonio Table Tennis Club finishing in 2nd. The Under 3300 Doubles saw Clark Kim and Justin Kim take gold, with SATTC's Pierre Claudon and Isaac Chavez finishing in 2nd place.

Friday - April 17, 2026

The 2026 Texas State Championships are officially underway at the San Antonio Table Tennis Club, with over 130 players from across the state competing for top honors this weekend, April 17–19. Day 1 kicked things off with two exciting events — Men's Over 60 Singles and Under 2700 Doubles — setting the tone for what promises to be a fantastic three days of table tennis.

In the Men's Over 60 Singles, Hoang Do claimed the gold, with Steven Claflin of Imperial Table Tennis earning silver. Van Savell of Corpus Christi Table Tennis Club and Miguel Mego of the Rio Grande Valley Table Tennis Club rounded out the podium, each taking a 3rd/4th place finish. In the Under 2700 Doubles, San Antonio Table Tennis Club's Isaac Chavez and Leo Jang took 1st place, followed by fellow SATTC members Donghao Liu and Qunjin (Mei) Zhang in 2nd. Immanuel Alamina and Miguel Mego claimed the 3rd place podium spot after a tight tiebreaker finish against the field, with fellow SATTC members Henry Blankenship and Frankie Benitez rounding out the event in 4th place.

Day 2 on Saturday is shaping up to be the highlight of the weekend, featuring marquee events including Men's Singles, Women's Singles, Under 2000, and Under 4000 Doubles, along with a full day of additional events across all skill levels.
