sport of table tennis.
Our club is affiliated with the USA Table Tennis organization (usatt.org), the national governing body of our sport. Locally, we have three instructors / coaches who are certified by USATT. Think of them as a resource to help you enjoy the sport even more, whether your choice is primarily recreational or fanatically competitive. And we have a robot machine that will pitch that 40 mm ball at you in varying speeds, spots and spins to help you improve reflexes and hand-eye coordination.

Wounded Warriors
January 20, 2012: Six SATTC members transported a table, net and rackets to/from a local hospital recreation room and shared table tennis action with nine wounded (wheelchair) veterans in the recreation room of the Audie Murphy Spinal Cord Injury Unit of the San Antonio VA Hospital.
Initiated by Wendy Gumbert, Manager – Texas Paralympics Sports, this visit resulted in a decision to launch a weekly program of "adapted table tennis" on Thursday evenings at 6:00 PM, beginning February 2 at the SATTC home venue location. More on this later. (Photos by Wendy Gumbert)
Cub Scouts
January 8, 2012: During one of the regular 5 PM Sunday newcomer session, SATTC hosted several table tennis wannabes, including a group of Cub Scouts from nearby Helotes TX who came by and earned their Scouting table tennis belt loops. Also present, were other newbies, including many who are well beyond Cub Scout age. It was a blast for all! (Photos by Edmund Lo)
